IVM first began running short courses for Irish Singers in the early 1990's. The success of these courses and the perceived need for a longer course offering a broader range of subjects and experience led to the first eight-day Summer Course in July 2000.
Since then 'IVM Dublin' has been an annual and highly successful event. The venue is set in large and beautiful gardens, twenty minutes from the centre of Dublin. Accommodation is in single rooms with whb and the facilities offered by the college are of a high standard.
The IVM tutors offer a wide range of experience and specialism in the world of singing. We at IVM believe in music education and skills development at a variety of levels and age groups in a non-competitive environment. Students on the verge of entry to the profession, experienced amateurs, people returning to singing after many years concentrating on other things, late starters and even relative beginners have benefited side-by-side from our courses. Everyone is stretched and challenged according to their needs. IVM consistently proves the value of such an environment, as participants develop in surprising ways and contribute and learn from each other's experience.
